Author guidelines

From research question to anonymised PDF: the key steps to prepare your work for review.

Before you begin

In preparationThe journal is not yet accepting manuscripts. This page describes the planned publishing framework; editorial responsibilities and the publication schedule will be finalised before the first call for papers.

Authors do not need a university enrolment, a master's degree or a doctorate. Students and independent researchers may also submit. If you are not affiliated with an institution, you can write "Independent researcher" in the affiliation field. Evaluation is based on the originality, method and ethical soundness of the work, not on academic titles.

You may prepare your work in Turkish or English. We recommend providing the title, abstract and keywords in both languages. Final format and length limits will be announced with the first call.

The work must be original and must not be under review at another journal at the same time. Any relation to a thesis, conference paper or preprint must be disclosed at submission.

Structure of the article

  1. Title and abstract: research question, method, main findings and contribution.
  2. Introduction: context, problem, aim and relevant literature.
  3. Method / approach: materials, production process, research design and limitations.
  4. Findings and discussion: evidence, interpretation and relation to earlier work.
  5. Conclusion: contribution, limits and further research.
  6. References: a consistent citation system that matches the in-text citations.

In practice-based research these headings may be adapted to the nature of the work. Images must be numbered and accompanied by captions, sources and permission details.

Preparing an anonymised PDF

  • Remove author names, institutions, email addresses and acknowledgements from the review file.
  • Leave no identifying information in the file name, PDF document properties, comments or tracked changes.
  • Do not delete citations to your own work; cite it in the third person like any other source.
  • Enter author and institution details in the submission system fields, not in the anonymised manuscript.

The current system accepts PDF files up to 20 MB each. Text must be selectable; do not submit the whole article as scanned images.

Statements and additional information

Author contributions, funding, conflicts of interest, required ethics committee approvals, participant consent and the rights status of the materials used must be stated. If ethics approval is not required, the reason should be given.

If generative AI was used, the tool, purpose and scope of use are disclosed. Authors remain responsible for accuracy, sources and originality; an AI tool cannot be listed as an author.
